*Things I find comfortable to share within the globe.
Well, as our children grows up, we can't really protect them all the way as we would like to be. They will have to learn how to protect themselves. I was disturbed when principal called me to informed me that something happend to my child.
Something happend yesterday that I was startled to get a phone call. Not a life threatning, but it's threatning to me when your young cries out infront of his peers.
Just before lunch time, he had his music class. His Bass was broken in half, the neck part. His teacher was holding it for him I guess and somehow she let go of it thinking Matt got it. But no! Matt didn't get it. He was reaching for the cover of it while she was holding it and before she knew it, the thing was broken in half on the floor. When we went to picked him up and talked to his music teacher, she was in tears. She told us that it was her fault that it broke. We were shocked! Matt of course was sad, but she assured him that he will get one next week.
He took pride in this music stuff he's taking. I really hope she will be able to get another one even if it's ugly looking thing.
Then at lunch time, his lunch was missing. Someone apparently took it for laughs purposes or just simply bully the little ones. He left his lunch pale on the table where they ate their lunch. Since he wanted to play, he decided to leave his lunch pale and played with friends. Five minutes later, he came back to his lunch pale so he can have lunch. Well, to his suprised, no food in it. Well, we surely packed his lunch before we left the house, infact the lunch pale was heavy when we dropped him off at the school.
He went to tell the yard person and he was told to go into cafeteria to get lunch and he did. After his lunch, he went out to play again in the playground. Well, a bigger kid perhaps wanted to challenged my lilttle pumkin by hiting his head with a basketball. The little boy fell on the ground while his helpless friends watched him go down. The big kid ran off before they can even see what he looked like.
My little pumkin together with his buddies went to the office to report it. I personally thanked the girls that took him to the pricicpal's office for doing the right thing.
These are few things that happens to our little ones that will make them shy away from the crowd, hate the school, or becomes stronger and will able to judge her or himself what to do at the instant moment that it happend. I can only say that be strong and that you are at the school to learn.
For sure we are allowed to tell them what to do, but we don't know what they would do and how they would do it when we are not with them. So, perhaps Karate classes will help assured themselves and also boosts their self esteem.
oh well, too much of this issues, let's see what he have on the good side.
I was able to get him into soccer as there is post season playing. We met last night. It was cold, but not as cold as it was maybe in east coast, like they had it ...in minus degreeeeessssss...
I was happy to see him enjoying kicking soccer with new set of friends after that horrible things happend to him yesterday.
take care
